Brian's Gardening Tips

1) When laying garden pavers prepare a base 40mm deep to sit the pavers on. When laying driveway pavers prepare a deeper base e.g. 100mm to accommodate stronger pavers. This will ensure a minimum of movement and greater stability for the completed pavers.

2) When planning a new garden design don't forget to include space for those necessary amenities e.g. tool storage, power access, clothes drying and water tank area.

3) When planning your tree design within the garden keep in mind the aspect the property is facing and the lighting requirements for the house and the surrounding garden area. Keep in mind how tall the tree will grow in relation to power lines, property eves and gutter clutter.

4) When planning your garden design a professional landscape gardener can assist in setting out a diary for the year based on your garden's maintenance, in particular pruning, weeding, fertilising and mulching. If you have the weeks highlighted for the year, requiring time to be set aside, for that little extra effort for your garden, you will be rewarded with a beautiful garden each season. It is all a matter of planning.
